All of us who have used Emoji icons on our iPhones for the last few years will be happy to know that those blank spaces and boxes with x’s through them will now display properly in OS X Lion! Just a small tidbit I figured deserved a post.
To see and use the Emoji head into the Special Characters box (usually found under the Edit menu) and you will see Emoji staring you right in the face.
In other news Facebook status messages prepare themselves for Emoji rape.

Hello, I had problem with Emoji in my MBP.
I’m running the final release of 10.7 Lion, and the FontBook does show that Emoji is there. However, the Emoji emoticons are still NOT viewable in iChat, Safari, Mail, or any other places.
Anyone knows why?
I have it in Mail 5.0 in Lion 10.7.1.
