At The Drive-In to Reunite After 11 Years

According to their official website and Twitter account:

“This station is now operational.

I can’t wait — hope they play Connecticut because as much as I’m looking for a throwback vibe I don’t think I’d be motivated enough to see them on some massive scale with a bunch of fake post-hipster-pre-hipster fans.

Must Watch: Ron Paul Predicts the Future in 2002

Friend to the site Reason and Liberty writes:

“Hey, wanna give this video a watch to see whether it’s worthy of being on your website? It literally left me crying and frozen to death.”

I spent six minutes watching this video and then fifteen minutes picking up my jaw. I am a known Ron Paul supporter. He is a champion of liberty and a fantastic scholar on austrian economics. Up to this point though, I had no idea he could see the future.

The following video is from April 2002. Yes, you read that correctly… 2002! Like a true Austrian he doesn’t give specific dates, that can’t be known — he does offer a time frame though.

“…the next five to ten years.”

The next six minutes of your life will be eye-opening.

The Debt Limit as a Household Budget

Haha, imagine walking into your bank and raising your debt limit. The United States is headed for fiscal disaster. A very clever YouTube video to illustrate the issue:

Equality is a Myth, Equality is Empty

Here’s the sagacious Rothbard on the foolishness that is equality:

“Human life is not some sort of race or game in which each person should start from an identical mark. It is an attempt by each man to be as happy as possible. And each person could not begin from the same point, for the world has not just come into being; it is diverse and infinitely varied in its parts. The mere fact that one individual is necessarily born in a different place from someone else immediately insures that his inherited opportunity cannot be the same as his neighbor’s. The drive for equality of opportunity would also require the abolition of the family since different parents have unequal abilities; it would require the communal rearing of children. The State would have to nationalize all babies and raise them in State nurseries under ‘equal’ conditions. But even here conditions cannot be the same, because different State officials will themselves have different abilities and personalities. And equality can never be achieved because of necessary differences of location.”

– Murray Rothbard

Gold v. The United States Dollar; Some Observations

Some important observations I’d like to share. I got thrown into a debate on Facebook of all places. I hate the “Facebook comment debate” but some of these facts I listed are worth sharing.

- Prior to 1913*, a man could walk into a tailor and purchase a nice new suit with either 1oz of gold (a 1 ounce gold coin) or a $20 dollar bank-note ($20 dollar bill). Today a man can still walk into a tailor and buy a suit with the 1 oz gold coin, but what about the $20 bill?

- In and around the 1970’s one could purchase a single family home for ~1,000 oz of gold (roughly $35/oz). Today you can still buy a home with 1,000 oz of gold but what about the $35,000 dollars?

Government destroys markets, money, and value. It monopolizes money to fund itself. This must end for our future to be lucrative. What has government done to our money? It has destroyed it. Just let that settle in. Bring it up in class or around the dinner table. Explain it to friends and family, with love, from me.

1913 is the year the Federal Reserve was created through the Federal Reserve Act.

Rupert Murdoch Chimes in on Ron Paul via Twitter

Murdoch, the owner of Fox News and dozens of other media outlets chimed in on his Twitter:

@rupertmurdoch: Paul too extreme, but right to draw attention toFed. Printing zillions can only cause inflation – the coward’s way out of this mess.

Oh, I’m sorry Rupert! I apologize for Dr. Paul and all of his supporters! How dare we be so extreme in our pursuit of a peaceful society with currency that has value. I’m sorry we don’t want to expand the total war and rampant inflation that is destroying the world, let alone the country. I guess not wanting to nuke Iran is considered “extreme”.

The problem with people like Murdoch is he is a globalist. He owns a chunk of the media (the second largest media company in the world, News Corp). His people are paid to instill fear in society. The goal is to tell you what to be afraid of, and subsequently who to blame for it. If he was serious he would run a “tighter” ship and really support “fair and balanced” news.

Murdoch’s concerns of “printing zillions”… bullshit — he is one of the people who benefits from the massive inflation carried out by the Federal Reserve. The more money in circulation the more money he can amass. He plays a nice game on Twitter but I don’t buy his crap.

The Most Read Posts From 2011

Didn’t have time to post this before the new year but now is as good a time as any! Below I have included the past year’s most read and commented posts. Have a look back!

I’d like to say thank you so very much to all of you — I don’t make any money on this site and do it to spread knowledge and any wisdom I can. The message of freedom is most important to me, beyond all the tech and goofy posts, it is what I strive to promote.

Without you, my readers none of this would be worth it — I do it for you. Cheers!

San Francisco’s $10 Mandatory Minimum Wage
San Francisco now has the highest minimum wage in the country. $10. The economically ignorant will cheer this as a massive success! They feel they are increasing the standard of living by forcing entrepreneurs to pay entry-level workers more money for jobs that may not call for that money in the open market.

The Media is Out to Stop Ron Paul — Here’s Proof
If you have followed then you won’t be surprised by the attached images. If you haven’t been following Ron Paul, the libertarian Presidential hopeful — and last hope for America — has been at the mercy of the Mainstream Media cabal.

OS X Lion Adds Emoji
All of us who have used Emoji icons on our iPhones for the last few years will be happy to know that those blank spaces and boxes with x’s through them will now display properly in OS X Lion! Just a small tidbit I figured deserved a post.

Here’s to a fantastic 2012!

The Bilderberg Group, Jesse Ventura, and TruTV

I just watched a 47 minute episode of “Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Venture” where he attempts to crack the case of the Bilderberg Group and their global domination scheme.

I find the show and the entire thing to be so silly. I know all the conspiracy theorists are going to jump on me and tell me that this is the point — only the sheep don’t believe. But seriously, come on!

How can I take it serious when I am watching a show about the global élite of politics, business, and media on a cable television show? In my mind it would seem plausible to accuse Ventura and his buddy Alex Jones as being part of the conspiracy to desensitize us to the idea of conspiracy.

Do you see how it becomes a cyclical situation? Person A reports on Issue A, Issue A is seen as a cover because person A is really working for person B who is covering up issue B. Conspiracy theory is just that… theory. Deal in fact, follow the money.

This was always my beef with the Alex Jones people — always looking for the NWO, always assuming it’s “coming”. Based on FACT the world’s currency is manipulated daily, it is worthless. One world reserve currency. Forget the entire idea that a one world government is “coming” — the currency is dead! One world is already here! The $ USD is the world’s reserve currency! It isn’t backed by gold. What more “one world” do you need?

Destroy the church, end the state.

“Men will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest.” — Diderot

RIP Bill of Rights: December 15, 1791 — January 1, 2012

With the stroke of 66 pens the tyrannical Barack Obama singed in to legislation the highly controversial National Defense Authorization Act of 2012, thus suspending habeas corpus.

The Warmonger-in-Chief had the following to say about the bill:

The president, for example, said that he would never authorize the indefinite military detention of American citizens, because “doing so would break with our most important traditions and values as a nation.” He also said he would reject a “rigid across-the-board requirement” that suspects be tried in military courts rather than civilian courts.

So even with all his reservations he decided to sign it anyway. The government and the President are out of control. It has become dangerous to live in America. We are no longer free. We are now subject to being held without due process. We are now subject to the police state.

The threat to freedom has never been more prevalent. Help us Ron Paul!
