Laser cut cash. Amazing art!

Posted on November 27, 2009 by Jay Farmington

Brought to us by famed tattoo artist Scott Campbell from his exhibit "Make It Rain" we see the artistic value lasers bring to the game. Stacks of dollar bills all laser cut into various images and shapes. I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy this type of work. Not only is it ingenious but it really brings a new value to fiat money. I could only find a few images of the work however if I run into anymore I will be sure to add them.

Personal favorite... it has to be the Virgin Mary, although the small skull is really sick! Enjoy!

Dead Fly Art

Posted on October 11, 2009 by Jay Farmington

Stumbled upon this and thought it was really cool, albeit weird. Someone (missing original author) decided to collect the bodies of dead house flies and give them legs, literally. Some of these are pretty funny and creative. It goes to show you that nearly anything can be art.

Little People in the Big City, amazing concept photography.

Posted on July 5, 2009 by Jay Farmington

The Little People is a London based project by Slinkachu. The premise behind the gallery is taking old miniature model train set characters and remodeling and repainting them. He places them on the street and takes photographs of them in comical yet interesting situations. Thanks to reflectionof.me for turning me on to this great gallery of work.

I must say the concept is fantastic. The execution is flawless. It really sheds light onto the fact that living in a big city can at times be lonely. As much as there is going on, one can find themselves feeling quite small in the grand scheme of things.
