Antique Shops: Creepy and Interesting

I ended up in a local antique shop today. Sometimes it’s cool to check out some of the older literature and trinkets hanging around these old shops. I spent some time roaming the cases and started to notice a disturbing trend. There is a lot of creepy stuff in an antique shop! Like things that I would never want hanging around inside my home. I just get the odd feeling that there are humans souls trapped inside some of the dolls or whatever.

I snapped a bunch of pictures to show some of the more odd and interesting items I ran into. It was cool to see an old bottle of cocaine laying in one of the cases. Descriptions below.

  1. Not so creepy wooden bird.
  2. Weird escaped mental patient?
  3. I don’t even know…
  4. …and on it rode death.
  5. Demon eyed panda… drumming
  6. Dead babies?
  7. Early 20th century crime scene photo, stick says “murder scene”.
  8. Bottle of Cocaine (early 20th?)
  9. “Pedophile looking creep dude head”
  10. Toy guns from days gone bye. Pretty crazy how real some used to look.

Pepsi “Cease Fire” Does What?

This Pepsi product claims to lighten the burn caused by spicy foods like hot wings. I don’t know how on earth it could be true considering it’s only Pepsi with a hint of lime but I guess I’ll try it next time I dance with hot sauce.

Little People in the Big City, amazing concept photography.

The Little People is a London based project by Slinkachu. The premise behind the gallery is taking old miniature model train set characters and remodeling and repainting them. He places them on the street and
takes photographs of them in comical yet interesting situations. Thanks to reflectionof.me for turning me on to this great gallery of work.

I must say the concept is fantastic. The execution is flawless. It really sheds light onto the fact that living in a big city can at times be lonely. As much as there is going on, one can find themselves feeling quite small in the grand scheme of things. For more information on Slinkachu please check out http://slinkachu.com.
