At The Drive-In to Reunite After 11 Years

According to their official website and Twitter account:

“This station is now operational.

I can’t wait — hope they play Connecticut because as much as I’m looking for a throwback vibe I don’t think I’d be motivated enough to see them on some massive scale with a bunch of fake post-hipster-pre-hipster fans.

Zimbabwe: The Next American “War”?

Now that the sheep who pay attention to Mainstream Media are convinced we are done with Iraq it will be time for a new “war” soon. According to insiders the next target may be an unusual pick to many. Zimbabwe.

According to Robert Wenzel:

When NYT runs a front page story about the evils of a dictator in a far away country, I always get nervous that it is the first step in softening public opinion in favor of some type U.S. intervention.

The NYT has such a story out today on Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe.

We know Wenzel is in the “know” and we also know that the New York Times has a verifiable history of being the media puppet for big government and big business. Following trends, more importantly studying them is always crucial.

Zimbabwe is a diamond warehouse. So what you ask? Well, if Zimbabwe is exporting diamonds at a cheaper prices that disrupts the market some of the powers that be, namely the Rothschild family may have something to say about that.

Wenzel writes:

I wonder if the ruckus has anything to do with the fact that the Zimbabwe sales are creating competition for the huge diamond dealer DeBeers, which is owned by the Rothschilds?

Alternatives to the Mainstream Media Cabal

Faux News, CNN, MSNBC, and other fourth branch government “news” sites we call “mainstream media” have reached an all time low. News isn’t reported, news isn’t even what these organizations do. They teach you what to be afraid of. They tell you who to blame for your life. They keep hope in the dark to promote celebrity altercations. They avoid stories and people fighting for truth and liberty and push their political/economic fallacy agenda. I can’t stand even landing on one of these sites or channels.

Worry not though, there is some hope but it won’t be easy if you don’t know where to look. There are websites that feature content that helps you rip away the blindfold you have been trained to accept. There are people out there reporting what is going on in the world and not what you should think about something sort of going on in the world. The following are some of the sites I read and watch daily. Don’t listen to me — experience it for yourself! Find your own truth.

The wonderful LewRockwell.com and LewRockwell.com/blog — some of the world’s best economic, political, and health minds reporting everything government doesn’t want you to know.

Mises.org is the definitive home of economic commentary and news. The celebrated list of scholars and professors who post there is beyond anything one could image. A “who’s who” of the most brilliant minds in philosophy, economics, and history. This *is* more than news. It is an education!

Al-Jazeera English. Watch live all day, everyday thanks to a constant live YouTube stream. Al-Jazeera reports on the world’s breaking news and insists on journalistic excellence in a class all it’s own.

Russia Today – RT asks the real questions journalists should ask. They feature commentary from people who know things without the agenda. A regular stop for the great G. Celente. They offer a free live news stream all day.

Antiwar.com, all I need to say is this… the news you aren’t supposed to know and the news you will never hear about on mainstream media stations.

Economic Policy Journal – You don’t get more “inside” than Robert Wenzel. Love economics and the developing world around you? Want to know what’s really going on? Look no further.

The above sites represent 90% of my news intake daily. I read nearly every article and post from Lew Rockwell and EPJ. I watch Al-Jazeera in the morning before work and RT at night while I’m in bed with my iPad. If you know me and ever wondered where I get my news… well… now you know!

Want to expand your horizon and see the world from a new angle, tune in. Kill your TV. Find truth in the age of lies.
