Kavinsky, one of my favorite artists is having a contest to celebrate his newest release. The task is to remix his new jam “Nightcall”. If you know what you’re doing when it comes to twisting knobs and matching beats then I suggest you find your way over to the official contest page. The undead artist is offering up some cool prizes for people who win and he is promising to listen to each track submitted. Something I believe he will actually do.
So far a lot of artists have thrown their remix into the hat. One such artist is DJ Chauncey. I have to say (not just because we are friends) that his remix is exceptional. It has been blowing up my speakers for the better part of two days. Complete with a speak and spell and his own vocal track; he took it above and beyond expectations. I feel a few of the submitted tracks are a bit “over cooked” especially given the tone and mood or the original track. His fits just right, fits the tone of the Dead Cruiser.
